December 4th 2004 - After the unfortunately and for us much to early death of our loved Hera, which hits also Byron very deeply, the two - Byron and Mephisto - are already a team and the situation normalize themselves slowly again. Byron has now the tasks of Hera taken over as to watch out for house and garden. Mephisto is slowly large enough to play with Byron, whereby we take advantage of the last flood today - we have now very much sand in the garden and this is a perfect soft underground which preserves the joints during the play. Mephisto "helps" also gladly with the garden work!!
December 8th 2004 - Mephisto grows and grows and becomes more a "kissing-dog".
December 11th 2004 - We visited Harriet, Stephan and Freya - it was for us and our Great Danes a wonderful day, specially Byron loves to play with a same sized Great Dane. Mephisto get tired by watching them. On Sunday all of us were tired.
December 13th 2004 - Dieter, the favourite of all of our dogs came on short visit - afterwards were again both tired.
December 20th 2004 - The second snow-fall brought many joy our boys. Mephisto grows and grows and he has now 30 kg. We don't have to talk about the size - compare him with Byron - and this with a good 3 month age (nearly 15 weeks old)
December 26th 2004 - On second Christmas day we visited the Alztal-Doggen where we had a small Great Dane Meeting. Kylie and Balou as well Cenzi with their owners was there! Byron has a lot fun with the "Ladies" and Mephisto could see the first time Great Danes which was smaller than himself. But as you can see Byron was also happy.
